We receive traffic incident data from public sources including:

• Georgia Department of Transportation (GA511) — publicly available traffic event data
• Community-reported traffic alerts via publicly available APIs

We do not purchase personal information about specific individuals from data brokers or third parties.

SMS messaging and consent

CrashRadar uses SMS messaging to communicate with users who have opted in. By texting HELP to one of our local numbers — (470) 361-0507 (Atlanta), (786) 983-4316 (Miami), (832) 956-0509 (Houston), or (704) 520-0662 (Charlotte) or submitting our consent form, you agree to receive text messages from CrashRadar.

What you're consenting to

• Receiving SMS messages from CrashRadar related to your crash report
• Receiving a confirmation text when your information is submitted
• Receiving contact information for your matched attorney or chiropractor

How to opt out

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. You can also text CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, or END. Once you opt out, we will not send you further messages unless you text HELP again to re-subscribe.

Opting out of SMS does not affect any services you may have already initiated with a partner attorney or chiropractor.

Message frequency and rates

Message frequency varies. Typically, you will receive 1-3 messages per interaction. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. CrashRadar does not charge for SMS messages.

How we share your information

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Partners: When you submit a consent form or opt in via SMS, we share your name, phone number, and incident description with a single matched attorney or chiropractor so they can contact you about your case.
• Service providers: We use third-party services to send SMS messages (Telnyx) and host our infrastructure. These providers process your data only on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.

We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or any parties other than those described above.

SMS Data Sharing Policy

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.

Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations:

• Consent records: Retained for a minimum of 5 years for TCPA compliance purposes
• Incident data: Retained for up to 3 years
• Opt-out records: Retained indefinitely to ensure we never contact you after you've opted out

Data security

We protect your information using industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS on all connections)

• API authentication on all internal services
